Buyers are the reason the marketplace works. Every supplier lists here because buyers are here. If buyers pay, buyers leave, and the marketplace dies. Buyer presence IS the product — so it's free forever at the core.
Why do suppliers pay?+
Suppliers pay because search placement + verified trust signals + buyer discovery are worth real money. Thomas.net charges suppliers $5K-$20K per year for worse placement on a worse product. We charge $588-$2,388 per year for the modern equivalent. Still the best deal in the industry by 70-85%.
Why do service providers pay?+
Service providers are replacing a stack of tools — DocuSign ($300+/user/yr), Zoom ($150/user/yr), Dropbox ($180/user/yr), CRM ($900-$3,600/user/yr), scheduling tools. Even our highest service tier is half what they pay today. The value is in our integration, not marketplace leads.
How do I know which audience I am?+
You pick at signup. Four options: (1) 'I'm looking for suppliers or services' → Buyer Free, (2) 'I sell products — factory, distributor, wholesale' → Supplier Listed, (3) 'I sell services to clients — agent, inspector, contractor, consultant' → Individual Free, (4) 'I'm setting up for a team' → team pricing. You can switch audience types later in settings.
Can a buyer also list a service?+
Yes — once you're in the platform, you can list your own services or products anytime (converts you to Supplier Listed or Service Provider tier alongside your buyer account). Most users start as one audience and expand over time.
Does Buyer Free have time limits or hidden caps?+
No time limits ever. The caps are: 3 AI contracts per month, 3 active deal rooms at once, 500MB storage, 15-minute video meetings. Everything else is unlimited. Most buyers never hit the caps. Upgrade to Buyer Pro ($29) if you do.
What about Free Business — wasn't that a tier?+
Free Business was in an earlier pricing model — it's been replaced by the three-audience structure. 2-person teams who would have gotten Free Business now start on Starter ($39/mo). It's priced to be obvious value the moment you need team collaboration.
Do suppliers really need to upload business registration?+
Yes — free supplier listings require business registration documents within 30 days of signup. This keeps the marketplace from being flooded with fake listings and protects buyers from scams. It's the same standard as any legitimate B2B directory.
Do you offer free trials on paid tiers?+
Not on most tiers — because the free tiers ARE the product. Enterprise customers get a real 30-day hands-on pilot (with onboarding support), which is a service, not a trial that disappears.
Can I cancel anytime?+
Yes. No annual lock-in. Monthly billing, cancel from settings, access continues until the end of the billing period. If you stop paying, you drop to the free tier of your audience (Buyer Free, Supplier Listed, or Individual Free) — not a zero-access lockout.
